The line item people ask about
It is the short strip of exposed concrete between your garage slab and the wood framing above it — usually 4 to 24 inches tall, running around the perimeter of the room. Leave it bare and you get a raw gray band framing an otherwise finished floor.
Coating it costs $6 per linear foot and it is the single most common add-on we install. The estimator works out your perimeter automatically from the garage size you pick.

For a standard garage with the Base (1/4" or 1/8") or Advanced (1/16") flake system, yes — we confirm the measurements on install day and the number holds. Metallic floors and dropped garages come through as a starting figure because the design or the step-down detail changes the scope.
Stairs ($250 flat), stem wall coating ($6 per linear foot), crack repair beyond 13 linear feet, and grinding off a failed previous coating. Everything else — prep, materials, labor, the topcoat — is in the per-square-foot price.
A deposit holds your install date and covers material ordering; the balance is due when the floor is finished and you have walked it with the crew.
